Jo Harris...

“I feel so blessed to share my painting of the bakery with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed painting it!"

Jo loves to paint and has either taken classes or taught classes all her adult life. It was her husband, Larry, who dusted off her oil paints, handed Jo her brushes, and encouraged her to renew her passion. After she retired in 2006, Jo found her painting friends and she hasn’t stopped yet!

Every week Jo finds inspiration with what God created. “How can I find a way to capture the never ending landscapes that embellish our world? It is only with God’s gift and an ardent spirit that I paint with passion.”

Jo is an active member of Kansas Art Guild and Wichita Oil Painters. She has participated in showings at Century II, Botanica, and the Upfront Gallery, all in Wichita, Kansas. She has been awarded many blue ribbons, a Best of Show, and a People’s Choice ribbon. Just recently Jo sold three of her paintings to a medical institute in Kansas City and was a featured artist at Picture Framing and More during a Final Friday Gallery Crawl.
